The registration process

Five steps to complete your vendor registration.

  1. Create account

    Register on the SAP Ariba platform with your company details and contact information.

  2. Submit documents

    Upload required documents including CAC certificate, tax clearance and company profile.

  3. NJQS categorisation

    Categorise your products and services under the approved NipeX ranking system, Category A to D.

  4. Prequalification

    Complete the prequalification assessment to become eligible for bid opportunities.

  5. Start bidding

    Access tender opportunities and submit competitive bids through the NipeX platform.

Who can register as a vendor on NipeX?

Any company or business entity that provides goods or services to the upstream oil and gas industry in Nigeria can register. This includes Nigerian and international companies with valid business registrations.

What documents are required for registration?

Required documents typically include the Certificate of Incorporation (CAC), Tax Clearance Certificate, company profile, evidence of financial capability, HSE policy and relevant industry certifications. Specific requirements vary by vendor category.

How long does the registration process take?

Initial registration can be completed online within a few hours. The full prequalification process, including document verification and assessment, may take two to four weeks depending on the completeness of the documentation submitted.

Is there a registration fee?

What are the vendor categories, A to D?

NipeX categorises vendors from A to D based on capability, capacity and track record. Category A represents the highest level of capability and Category D is the entry level. Vendors can upgrade their category as they build capacity and track record.
